Summary
The US President Harry Truman decided to drop atomic bombs on Japanese cities. These bombs were from the Manhattan Project: Little Boy, a uranium bomb dropped over Hiroshima on Aug.6 1945 and Fat Man, a plutonium bomb dropped on Nagasaki on Aug.9 1945. Consequently, the Emperor addressed the Japanese citizens over the radio to tell them they must surrender.
